PIIE Global Economic Prospects: Fall 2023

PRESENTERS

• Karen Dynan, PIIE nonresident senior fellow, will present the projections for the US and global economies with a focus on the trajectory for inflation, its implications for monetary policy, and the prospects for a “soft landing.”
• Alejandro Werner, PIIE nonresident senior fellow, will address the economic outlook for Latin America, detailing short-term monetary and fiscal policy choices, electoral risk in some countries, and medium-term growth challenges and opportunities.
