March 15, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Wednesday Mar. 15, 2023  12:00 PM | Online

Join us for a briefing on March 15th featuring energy industry expert Jorge R. Piñón who documents the multiple challenges faced by Cuba’s National Electric System (SEN), including an obsolete and collapsing infrastructure, as well as the lack of maintenance capital and the high contaminating effects of its current operation. Piñón advocates for a decentralized model of planning to rebuild Cuba’s electrical system.

Hosted by @fiucri. Part of the Cuba and the Professions series. Made possible with support from LACC’s US Department of Education Title VI Grant. Cosponsored by FIU’s CasaCuba.
