The FY 2022 Homeland Security bill provides $14.11 billion in net discretionary appropriations for CBP, which includes $132 million for new innovative technologies to help enhance border security. The bill also gives $7.97 billion in discretionary appropriations for ICE, which includes 2.26 billion for all HSI intelligence programs. DSI’s 10th Annual Border Security and Intelligence Summit will bring together DHS, IC, Federal Agencies, & Industry to discuss current/future efforts toward integrating new policies & advanced technologies that are helping to ensure the continued protection & security of our Nation’s borders. At this forum, senior level leaders from the across the USG will detail intelligence strategies & solutions toward combating transnational organized crime, illicit trade & travel, & human smuggling/trafficking, & other threats to the U.S. Homeland.
Attendees at this forum will learn about how securing the U.S. Borders & ports-of-entry continue to be a critical priority for Federal government agencies, particularly as the threat landscape continually evolves at a rapid pace. They will also have the opportunity to hear about the different ways various critical agencies & law enforcement partners, as well as international partners, are working to improve information sharing & intelligence capabilities to effectively undermine and counter transnational criminal organizations and the multitude of threats they pose the American people. The 2022 Summit topics will also include the development & delivery of innovative commercial technologies and solutions to help enhance border security on the ground, as well as a panel of Senior government & private industry experts that will examine innovative ways to counter the flow of Fentanyl/other narcotics across the border via the mail.
