As the world’s most populous democracy and a leading maritime power, India plays a key role in anchoring the Quad’s presence in the Indo-Pacific. In recent years, India has become increasingly concerned about Chinese investments and commercial activity in the region. Tense standoffs and skirmishes on the China-India border over the last few years have further driven India’s interest in the Quad.

Please join the CSIS China Power Project on Wednesday, February 16, from 9:30 to 10:30 am ET for a virtual event exploring what’s next for India and the Quad. The event will feature Dr. Sana Hashmi, Visiting Fellow at Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation; Dr. Manjari Chatterjee Miller, Senior Fellow for India, Pakistan, and South Asia at the Council on Foreign Relations; Dr. Harsh V. Pant, Director, Studies and Head of the Strategic Studies Programme at Observer Research Foundation, New Delhi; and Mr. Richard M. Rossow, Senior Adviser and Wadhwani Chair in U.S-India Policy Studies at CSIS. The event will be moderated by Dr. Bonny Lin, Director of the China Power Project and Senior Fellow for Asian Security at CSIS.

This event is made possible by the generous support of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO).
